East Peoria

The East Peoria Communications Center is operated and staffed by the East Peoria Police Department. It is housed in the East Peoria Police Department.

The East Peoria Communications Center is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. It is staffed by 13 full time telecommunicators. All telecommunicators are trained in emergency medical dispatch.

There are 3 primary answering positions at East Peoria and 1 backup answering position. Each answering position is configured the same and is equipped with a Zetron Intergrator RD radio dispatch console, Zetron Series 3200 telephone console and Sungard/HTE computer aided dispatch system. There are a total of 9 dedicated 9-1-1 trunks, 6 for wireline 9-1-1 calls and 3 for wireless 9-1-1 calls.

In 2010, East Peoria handled 14,431 emergency 9-1-1 calls. Of those calls, 11,127 were wireless 9-1-1 calls and 3,304 were wireline 9-1-1 calls.
